Research allows corporations to discover blueprints by spending 1,000,000 energy. Corporations need to have a research facility built in the region in order to perform research. When research begins, the rarity of the blueprint is decided. Based on the rarity of the blueprint, the amount of time it will take to finish researching is determined. Blueprints can then be developed into their respective technologies to be installed in a region.
Multiple research projects can occur simultaneously as long as they are started in separate regions.
